Today we celebrate the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, honoring her pure love, unwavering obedience, and deep compassion.
Mary reminds us that even in our darkest sufferings, we must continue to seek God.
When I was in the hospital, simultaneously celebrating the life of one of my twins and mourning the loss of the other, Mary accompanied me and sustained me. In that profound heartbreak, she gently reminded me that even in these moments, we are called to praise the Lord for His presence in our lives. She walked beside me as a mother who truly understood my pain, my suffering, and my struggles, helping me to open my heart so that her Son could enter into my wounds and heal them.
Let our Mother be our guide, and may we always find refuge in her Immaculate Heart.

As we celebrate today the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are profoundly reminded of the depths of His love and how He calls us to love one another. In his first epistle, St. John tells us that those who do not love do not know God, because God is love.
Hearing this second reading at Mass, I felt God placing a heavy burden on my heart to reflect on what recently happened with Jesse and Ashley, a couple who chose to end the life of their unborn son following a Down syndrome diagnosis. All I could feel in my heart was a profound sense of sorrow: if only they knew God, and knew just how deeply He loves them and their son, their decision would have been so different.
I am not here to condemn or to judge them, but to remind us all that God’s love for His children, including Jesse and Ashley, is unwavering, even when we make choices that wound our relationship with Him. I felt a gentle invitation from the Lord to love them through prayer. This is not to minimize or excuse the gravity of what was done, but to intercede for them, praying that they might open their hearts to God’s grace, especially now.
Only when we let God love us can we begin to see with the eyes of faith. Even though they no longer have the opportunity to hold their son in this world, walking with God offers them a real and enduring hope. It is the hope of the Resurrection, the hope that through God’s mercy, they can one day be reunited with their son in eternity.
And while this sweet baby’s life was tragically cut short in this world, God`s loving purpose for him is not defeated. Our Father can redeem this unimaginable pain and invite Jesse and Ashley to be a part of a new story. I pray that through this profound brokenness, they truly encounter God and enter into a deep relationship with Him. May He reveal to them how their son’s memory can live on through them. God can take our deepest sufferings and transform them for His glory. My prayer is that this experience ultimately moves Jesse and Ashley to become fierce advocates for life and for children with Down syndrome. What a powerful, beautiful way that would be to honor their baby and commemorate the eternal value of his life.
Today, May 31st, we celebrate the Holy Trinity. Sometimes we look at this mystery as something distant, but the reality is that God created us in His image and likeness with a beautiful trinity within our own being: Spirit, Soul, and Body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
As a mother who walks this same path of perinatal loss, I know how deeply our arms ache. But today, I want to remind us of the beautiful, eternal promise this great mystery holds for our sweet babies:
🌿 The Body: Their tiny bodies were the temples where a miracle took place. Although we ache for their physical presence today, that earthly bond we shared with them was sacred, holy, and so very real.
🤍 The Soul: Faith reminds us that from the very moment of conception, God gave our babies a unique soul. Our children were never an "attempt at life"; they were complete, whole people, deeply loved and designed by the Father from their very first second. Their souls are alive right now.
✨ The Spirit: The Church teaches us that we are united in realities that transcend this world. While we continue to walk here on earth, our babies already belong to the Church Triumphant in heaven. Their spirits have not ceased to exist; they are fully alive, wrapped in the perfect, eternal love of God, and interceding for us.
Our motherhood did not end; it was transformed into a direct bridge to heaven. We are not separated from our babies forever. We are united with them every time we pray, because we all dwell within the very same Trinitarian Love.
Our babies are alive, and they are waiting for us in eternity! 🤍

🤍 Beside the cross, and beside our pain. 🤍
Today, the Church celebrates the Virgin Mary as Mother of the Church. Reading today`s Gospel, I cannot help but think of the tender and compassionate role She plays for us, mothers who have experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy.
The Gospel shows us Mary standing firm, full of faith, "beside the cross of Jesus." She knew firsthand the most heartbreaking pain a mother can experience: watching her child depart. Because of this, She is not a mere spectator of our suffering; She is our refuge.
🌹She is our role model: Because even in her darkest hour, she remained sustained by God`s love, teaching us that faith does not prevent pain, but it does fill it with hope
🌹She is our companion: Just as she embraced John at the foot of the cross, today she embraces us in our grief. She knows what it is like to have empty arms, but a heart overflowing with eternal love for a child.
If you are walking through this desert today, remember that you have a Mother in heaven who holds you, who whispers our sorrows to Jesus, and who cradles our babies in her heavenly lap while we await our reunion.
Mary, Mother of the Church and comfort of mothers, pray for us. 🕊️✨
